Boris Johnson always looked and acted like a guy who tried, with eccentricity, to entertain and distract Britons from serious economic, social and political problems. But his eccentricities came across as nonsensically preposterous. In an age when some political leaders are attempting to replace good governance with a strong, likeable personality, he was completely untrustworthy.

On the other hand, as a politician who wanted to be Churchill 2.0, he succeeded in drawing NATO, the US, and the West into a disastrous war against Russia in Ukraine., dragging the world back to the Dirty 30's. Thorough research into the causes of WW I and WW II reveals Churchill as a warmonger since the 19th Century. Further, Churchill, like many in the British aristocracy of the 1930's, was an enthusiastic admirer of Hitler and the Nazis. He and his fellow aristocrats encouraged the Nazis, re-armed them, and did business with them until it was too late to stop them.

With Churchill in mind, Mahatma Gandhi characterized Western "democracies" as "watered down Nazism". Had it been up to Churchill after WW II, Britain would never have freed India from the colonialism of the British Empire.
