Those words of Jacob Bronowski were incredibly inspiring, Leonard Cohen equally so, and placed within an article that was both thought provoking and insightful. Great work!

It feels like we're living in an inverted reality where up is down, heroes are 'mentally unstable,' the wicked is good, the weak are seen as strong and vice versa.

Aaron Bushnell made the ultimate sacrifice and it will resonate for decades, in the hearts and minds of all who care about honor, decency and love.

Rest in power, Aaron Bushnell.

Beautiful tribute. A very astute acknowledgement of the meaning of such ultimate sacrifices. Like fire dissolving those bodies ( and ours, mostly, eventually) into ash, Spinoza himself, in focussing the (pre) laser focus of his day-job work of grinding glass into lenses for microscopes and telescopes, helped us, (in ways under-attributed), to both envision the divinity in both micro and macro worlds, as the dust of ground glass fell to the floor below his workbench. Are we not so much ash, but instead that glass, being honed into the lens of awareness, with all its sacrificial dust, with which to turn our own vision to truths so eye-shattering that the blazing light of the sun forces us to not look away?

Thank you for this blog Geoff. I am just amazed that the treatment of the Palestinian people in Gaza has been allowed to go on for so long especially for the horrific situation with children.
