A quickie for Friday. Saw this in the news and had to post it. In fairness to the police officer, he likely never had instruction on engaging threats from fresh fruit, either. Of course, if the black suspect had died in the gunfire this would have been less farce than tragedy.
I can't help but think, silly thought really, that if John Cleese from this era of his career though some strange space/time displacement had been the one to interview Vladimir Putin it would have all gone down a little bit......differently. Threats to the stoic Russian leader with a banana is an image too deliciously silly to pass by, don't you think?
